The one thing that we believe many women have in common after experiencing a miscarriage, is the desire to increase their fertility and become pregnant again. Their goal is a healthy pregnancy, birth, and baby. It will take some time for your body to heal, your heart as well. The good thing is that with a strong support system, and making healthy and informed choices, your chances of increasing fertility and having your darling baby improve greatly.

Today, we’re going to give you 10 steps that you can take to heal after a miscarriage and increase your fertility.

1. Follow Your Doctor’s Or Midwife’s Orders

You paid a visit to your healthcare provider when you realized that you were having a miscarriage. They took great care of you and sent you home with descriptive orders to follow. Follow them!

Even if you are starting to feel better physically, make sure you follow through on the path that your provider has set.

You made the informed decision to choose that provider because they fit your needs and desires. Make sure to allow them to help you through this time by following through. If anything is confusing to you, be sure to ask for clarity. They are there to help you.

2. Seek Emotional Support

You have a great support system in place, or maybe you don’t. Either way make it a priority to get the emotional support you need, in the way you need it. What does that mean? It means that you must figure out what you need to help you through this time.

  • Do you need someone to assist with the care of your other children?
  • Do you need a short getaway?
  • Do you need someone to pray with you?
  • Are you looking for someone to just sit and listen?

Whatever you need, seek out that support. There are quite a few therapists who work with women who have experienced pregnancy loss. It’s a time of grieving and they may be exactly what you need.

3. Cry

Let it out! Crying is a way to cleanse the soul. Cry as often as you need to during this time. Forget being strong! Allow yourself to feel everything you must to help your healing process. You’ll feel better after a good cry.

4. Tone Your Uterus

After your follow up appointment with your healthcare provider and getting the all clear, you may want to begin getting your body in shape to encourage a future pregnancy. Particularly your uterus.

The uterus or womb is where all the magic happens. It may need some assistance in getting back into optimal shape for conception and pregnancy.

One of the best ways to tone your uterus is by drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea. Red Raspberry Leaf has been shown to increase blood flow to the uterus and aids in toning it in preparation for pregnancy. Once you conceive it is recommended that you stop drinking the tea until late in pregnancy as you prepare for the birth.
